Clean Air Network

About Us

We are a non-traditional, fact-based, environmental organization.

Vision

A world that meets rising energy demand in a way that is financially, socially, and environmentally sustainable.

Mission

Push the technology and policy changes needed to achieve a zero-emissions, high-energy nation at an affordable cost.

Approach

We ain to achieve our vision through research, policy, technology, and market innovation for a zero-emissions future.

Driving change forward through policy and innovation

Did you know that over 70% of global warming emissions come from how we produce energy? Worldwide, energy systems pump out nearly 40 billion tons of CO₂ yearly – and as Uganda grows, our energy demands will too. Without urgent changes to cleaner power solutions, these emissions will keep rising, threatening our climate and development.

Driving practical and actionable solutions

Clean Air Network is working to rapidly reduce emissions while advancing bold, durable climate solutions to ensure a net-zero emissions, high energy planet at an affordable cost.

Driving change forward

Our Approach

Clean Air Network’s operating approach is centered on change in four key areas:

  • Change the narrative to communicate the size of the problem and totality of solution requirements.
  • Change technology to make available the full suite of carbon-free options like advanced renewables, zero-carbon fuels, clean cooking stoves and carbon capture at an affordable cost.
  • Change business models to include modular, manufacturable energy solutions that can be deployed anywhere quickly.
  • Change policy to develop, demonstrate, and scale-up the technologies and systems needed to achieve net-zero emissions by midcentury.

Our Team

Clean Air Network unites first-class scientists, engineers, and policy experts in an agile team that innovates through disruptive thinking. With a startup mindset, we deliver cutting-edge solutions at the intersection of technology, law, and communications to accelerate the clean energy transition.
